EMERGENCY services were called to a fire in Orchard Street in Chichester this evening (May 3).
Four fire crews were at the scene of the smoke logged abandoned building in Orchard Street. No-one was injured.

The fire started at 7.45pm, and police were also in attendance. Officers at the scene said it was a ‘deliberate ignition’.
A police spokesman said: “The fire was started deliberately in what we think was an abandoned council building.
“It was unoccupied and no-one was injured.”
Orchard Street remains open and there are no traffic diversions in place.
