Two men have been arrested after police carried out a series of drugs raids across the Horsham district.

On Tuesday (December 14) Horsham Police carried out a raid at a home in Steying where officers seized £1200 cash and a large amount of cannabis as well as drug paraphernalia.

Police said a 41-year-old man from Steyning and a 25-year-old man from Storrington were both arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Both have been released on bail until February 12, 2016.

A second property was also raided by officers on the same day in Storrington.

Police said a small amount of cannabis was seized and a 21-year-old man from the town was issued with a fixed penalty notice.

Sergeant Martin Drabble said: “This was a good example of police working with the community to help stop drug related anti-social behaviour.

“We would encourage anyone who suspects any drug related crime to contact us by emailing or phoning 101.”
