Two boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a 12-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint in Horsham yesterday (Wednesday March 4).

Police said the victim was approached by two boys, one of whom was carrying a knife, near Hills Farm Lane at around 3.40pm.

The boys demanded that the victim gave them his phone and after it had been handed over the pair made off towards the town centre.

Police carried out a search of the area and spotted the boys who ran off when they saw the officers. The pair were later arrested.

A 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, both from Slinfold, were arrested and have been released on bail until April 9.
