Woman dies in Shoreham A27 collision

A 42-year-old woman from Portslade died after a collision on the A27 at Shoreham yesterday (Sunday July 1).

Police were called to the westbound A27 at the junction with Steyning Road at 12.36am.

A 39-year-old woman driving a Audi had collided with the 42-year-old woman pedestrian who was in the carriageway.

The pedrestrian died at the scene from her injuries.

The A27 was closed for more than three hours while the emergency services attended the scene and police have thanked motorists for their patience.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should contact 101 quoting Op Tallow.
