Witness appeal over Hassocks traffic accident

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a collision between a car and a local authority refuse lorry in Hassocks.

The car driver, an 84-year old local man who was alone in the car, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious but not life threatening injuries after he collided with the lorry in Keymer Road, Hassocks, near the railway bridge, at 1.10pm on Monday 30 April. The lorry driver was unhurt.

PC Christina Lane of the Sussex Road Policing Unit said; “Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact us via 101 quoting serial 2012 of 30/4.”
