UPDATE: Woman in hospital after A24 Ashington crash

A woman has been cut out of a car and taken to hospital after a collision on the A24 near Ashington this morning (Tuesday April 1).

Emergency services arrived on the scene just before 9am.

The collision involved two vehicles.

The A24 is partially blocked and queueing traffic has been reported northbound between the B2133 junction in Ashington and Buckbarn Crossroads in West Grinstead.
