UPDATE: ‘Unconscious’ man in hospital after Billingshurst gas incident
A man who was found unconscious at his Billingshurst home this afternoon (Thursday March 27) has been taken to hospital, say Horsham police.
Emergency services were called to East Street just before 11.30am.
Police initially responded to reports of a gas leak, but a spokesperson confirmed the gas was coming from a kitchen hob.
The man has been taken to Worthing Hospital via road ambulance and remains unconscious, added Horsham police.
Police closed the road, but it has since being re-opened.
