Christ’s Hospital man in hospital after suffering serious head injury

A man from Christ’s Hospital was taken to hospital with a serious head injury in the early hours of Sunday morning (May 17).

Paramedics and police were called to Bluecoat Pond at about 4.10am where the man, aged 32, had returned home with a head injury.

The air ambulance was called but the man was taken by road to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said his condition is serious but not life-threatening.

The spokesperson added: “Enquiries are continuing to establish where and how he sustained the injury, but at this stage there is no evidence to show that any crime has occurred.”

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the man reported he had been hit by a vehicle.
