Cabin crew rescue casualties in A24 collision

TRAINEE air stewards came to the rescue of casualties who were trapped inside a car following a collision on the A24 last night (Wednesday March 14).

Emergency services arrived on the scene north of Washington Roundabout opposite Kate’s Cakes just before 7pm.

The air stewards used training they had to deal with emergency incidents in the sky on the casualties.

Firefighters cut two women - the driver and front passenger - out of the car using hydraulic rescue equipment.

They were taken to Worthing hospital.
