Teen injured after car crashes into traffic light

A teenager was injured after a car crashed into a traffic light in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday April 18), police said.

Emergency services were called to the collision on the A272 near Cowfold at around 1am.

A spokesman for Sussex Roads Police said a 19-year-old driver sustained minor injuries.

The spokesman said: “Minor injury collision A272 Cowfold, 19y/o driver, uninsured and had revoked licence.”

Sussex Roads Police released the following photo on Twitter (above) of the car which appears to have crashed into a traffic light post.
