Support 24 hour walk

THREE year 11 students from the Sir Robert Woodard Academy Lancing, Nathan Whessell, Harry Bush and Harley Atkins, will be walking 65 miles in 24 hours to help the Japan emergency appeal, which was set up by British Red Cross charity. This is the first time they have ever attempted something like this.

They will walk from March 27 to March 28 from London Westminster back to their Academy, via Brighton, avoiding all main roads, wearing bright pink t-shirts.

The trio will collect donations during their walk, but the bulk of their money will come from advance sponsorship and local collections in advance, to reach a target of £4,000.

They are already doing door-to door-collections, collecting personal sponsors, visiting local events, using charity/collection buckets at highly populated destinations to set them on their way to the target before the undertake the walk itself.

To donate visit their website at www.justgiving.co.uk/japan-appeal or one of the many Lancing charity boxes.
