More than 50 people supported a Steyning Museum fundraising evening, which included food and entertainment.
After a meal at the Sussex Produce Café in Steyning High Street, the diners were entertained by children’s author Julia Donaldson and her husband, Malcolm.
They chatted about their careers and sang, danced and acted their way through a number of humorous songs, some involving audience participation.
Volunteer Muriel Wright said: “A really enjoyable evening was had by all.
“Thanks go to Julia and Malcolm and the Sussex Produce Shop, as well as to the museum’s band of generous supporters who made the evening such a success.
“The Sussex Produce Shop had donated a picnic hamper full of tasty goods as a stunning raffle prize which was drawn on the night. The event raised over £450 for museum funds.”
