Horsham’s John Lewis ‘At Home’ and Waitrose store celebrated its first month anniversary this weekend and both shops continue to be just as popular as ever.
Hundreds of shoppers from far and wide have come to visit the new building, in Albion Way, over the past 30 days with products flying off the shelves.
The new Home Hub, the first of its kind across the John Lewis franchise, has proven to be very popular with home furnishing such as blinds and lighting selling well, as well as bedding where more than 1,000 pillows have been sold.
Around 30 home visits have been booked with staff travelling to customers homes giving their expert advise on what would look best in individual rooms.
The ‘Restoration’ range of furniture, which hints strongly towards an industrial heritage theme, has been the most sought after range in the store over the past month and customers have also been snapping up the bargains with more than 6,700 clearance items sold.
Electrical items have also proved popular with around 250 Apple products bought over the last month as well as just under 250 television.
The summer season continues to influence customer choices however, with outdoor furniture, lighting and BBQ accessories remaining popular.
With the stationary department being the first port of call for customers as they enter the shop, 8,500 greeting cards have also already been sold.
Nigel Davis, branch manager of John Lewis ‘At Home’ Horsham said: “A month on from opening, I can still feel excitement in the air at Horsham! We’re continuing to welcome new faces from all over West Sussex to the branch, and have already got to know many of our regular customers.
“My team of Partners has been fantastic and they have all taken to their roles like ducks to water, providing a brilliant shopping experience for our customers and bringing the John Lewis brand to life.”
