Storrington is set to bloom more than ever this summer - thanks to support from David Wilson Homes.

The five star housebuilder has teamed up with community organisation Storrington in Bloom to fund local gardening and planting initiatives in the run up to next year’s contest.

David Wilson Homes sales director, Lynnette St-Quintin said: “We are pleased to be playing a role in helping to further enhance this picturesque neighbourhood, close to the new homes we are creating at our Milford Grange development.

“It is important to us that we work closely with schools, clubs and organisations near to our new developments - and our relationship with Storrington in Bloom is an excellent opportunity to do just that.

“I was delighted to visit one of the displays this week and present a cheque.

“The funds we are providing will help Rydon School create themed displays, introduce and maintain planters in West Street and create various other displays across Storrington.

“We’re looking forward to enjoying them, along with local people and visitors to the village.”

Jo Newington, chairman of Storrington in Bloom said: “I would like to thank David Wilson Homes for its generous donation to our organisation.

“We are a small and independently-funded group - and we rely on funds like these to improve the local environment for the benefit of the whole community.

“This support is truly appreciated.”
