THERE was something for everyone at Upper Beeding Primary School’s summer village fête.
From vintage cars to a dog show, lots of fun stalls for the kids, gymnastics and Irish dancing displays and the Sussex Raptor Club, there was plenty to keep the crowds busy on Saturday.
Mary Thain, secretary, of Friends of Upper Beeding School, said: “All those at Upper Beeding school summer village fête had great fun, despite the weather.
“This wonderful, traditional fête had it all.
“In the evening, villagers danced the night away to local bands The Threepenny Thieves and The Horizontals while enjoying homemade curry and a hog roast, which just about managed to keep them all warm.
“The Friends of Upper Beeding School should pat themselves on the back - the fete was a real success.”
The final total is yet to be announced but all the money raised will go towards renovating the school’s outside play area.
