Shoreham roof blown loose in high winds

HIGH winds blew the flat roof off a dormer window in Shoreham.

Shoreham firefighters were called to the house in Lavender Hill on Monday, just after 8.20pm.

It took an hour to deal with the roof, which had come loose in the high winds.

The flat roof was secured and made watertight using a salvage sheet, small tools, ladders and lanyard packs.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue said the electrics on the first floor were isolated and advice given.
