A SHOREHAM Beach man caught drink-driving has been banned from driving for 18 months.
Timothy Woods was arrested at 8pm on December 22 after police officers stopped his Jaguar in Manor Hall Road, Southwick.
The 56-year-old was found to be almost twice the drink-drive limit.
Woods, of Harbour Way, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on February 18.
He was ordered to pay a £500 fine, £85 costs and a £50 victim surcharge.
Chief Inspector Phil Nicholas, from Surrey and Sussex roads policing unit, said: “Drink-driving is totally unacceptable and I would urge anyone who sees someone who they suspect is drink-driving to contact us so we can take action immediately.”

A total of 80 people have so far been convicted after being arrested as part of Operation Dragonfly, Sussex Police’s December drink and drug-driving crackdown.
