LANCING and Sompting residents are being challenged to test their wits at an evening of friendly competition by taking part in a charity quiz night in support of a Lancing young-persons’ charity.
The quiz night in support of Electric Storm Youth takes place on Saturday, September 20, at St Michael’s Church Hall, South Street, Lancing.
The evening starts at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
Question rounds will include pot luck and a picture round, and a raffle draw will also take place during the evening.
Tickets for the quiz are £5 per person, which includes a ploughman’s supper.
There is no minimum number that can make up a team but the maximum number of people per team is six.
Entrants are advised that they will need to bring their own drinks.
Ian Tout, who is coordinating the event, said: “This will be a light-hearted evening where everyone will be able to stretch their brain cells for a good cause.”
Individuals or teams can register by calling 01903 762793.
Tickets will also be sold at the door on the night.
Electric Storm Youth runs weekly sessions with young people at Lancing Youth Centre.
Activities include cooking, crafts, football, skateboarding and drama.
The eventual aim of the charity is to build a new multi-purpose youth and community facility on part of the former Freshbrook School site in the heart of Lancing.
