Children at Eastbrook Primary Academy were given the chance to dress up as a favourite sporting personality, or in their favourite sports gear, on Friday, May 23, to help raise money for next month’s summer fair.

Val Blackmer, from the association, explained they were also promoting the annual fun run, which they are organising on Saturday, June 14, this year.

Pupils, staff, family and friends will be joining together to run distances ranging from one to five kilometres, within the school grounds.

She added: “There will also be a summer fair with a barbecue and numerous stalls and activities for all.

“The run starts at 1pm and the fun will carry on throughout the afternoon, until 4pm.”

The money raised by the association will support the school by paying for new equipment, which will benefit all age groups at the academy.
