A GARDEN centre has launched a creative initiative to find out just what happens to the plants it sells.

Haskins Garden Centre Roundstone, in Angmering, is encouraging customers to share photos of their gardens online, to inspire other people and give ideas.

Lisa Looker, Haskins director of marketing, said that the sample of photos received so far were ‘brilliant examples’ of the diversity that can be found in the region.

She said: “We are displaying the images on a Pinterest page so anyone viewing can vote for their favourite garden by clicking on the heart in the top right hand corner of the pictures.

“The deadline for people to upload or to vote for pictures is the 30th September.”

The five most popular images will each win a £20 gift card.

So far, 73 green-fingered members of the public have uploaded pictures of their gardens.

There is a variety of styles, ranging from traditional English gardens through to ‘hard’ gardens and a Grecian-themed effort.
