SHOREHAM Port will be preventing access to Basin Road South in Southwick on Sunday, April 6.
The road will be closed from 7am to 5pm and a barrier will be used to prevent any vehicles from using the private road.
Harbour master Julian Seaman said: “The closure has been planned to coincide with the Brighton Marathon, as part of the route will be along Basin Road South.”
The road closure is ‘in order to preserve Shoreham Port’s rights in connection with the use of Harbour roadways’.
The Brighton Marathon starts at 9.15am in Preston Park and takes runners through the town centre before an extended loop in Portslade. There will be a ‘cheer zone’ by Carats Café.
