Ahead of submitting a planning application to Horsham District Council, developer Charles Church is consulting with residents of Mannings Heath about building 40 homes on land at Saddler’s Farm.

An exhibition was held last month and following requests from residents, another will be held next in Mannings Heath Village Hall Thursday November 13.

Charles Church, which is part of the Persimmon Homes group, wants to build the mix of two-five bedroom properties on the land next to The Quarries.

It is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and members of the Mannings Heath Action Group are concerned it would lead to more development on other parts of similarly protected land.

Charles Church says it would had much needed homes to the village, forty per cent of which would be affordable.

The exhibition is running from 2pm to 5pm in the village hall in Golding Lane.
