New toilets installed on Bognor Regis’ seafront will be free to use, the council has confirmed this week.
The long-awaited building was craned into place on Tuesday (October 2), but a definitive opening date has yet to be announced.
After their installation, residents took to social media to question the inclusion of coin slots on the toilets and asked if users would be charged.
However Arun District Council has confirmed it will not be operating any charges.
The toilet doors have coin slots in them as some councils choose to charge, but these public conveniences on Bognor’s seafront will work like any normal toilet door.
