WORTHING will have a new town centre office for registering births and deaths from the afternoon of Wednesday July 6.
Couples will also be able to give notice of their intended marriage or civil ceremony at the new location.
It will be in Worthing Borough Council’s offices at Portland House in Richmond Road.
Like all West Sussex County Council Registration Offices, it will run an appointment system.
Appointments can be made using the Registration Service’s online bookingsystem, which is on www.westsussex.gov.uk or by phoning 01243 642122.
Pete Bradbury, County Council Cabinet Member responsible for the Registration Service, said: “I hope users of the Registration Service will find this new location much more central and convenient.
“Worthing is a great Sussex town with some excellent facilities and I’m pleased the county council can contribute towards providing a better user experience.”
