THE British Transport Police has released a CCTV image of a man it would like to speak to about criminal damage at Worthing railway station.

The incident, involving a cracked glass pane, happened at 12.20am on Thursday, April 3, in the booking hall of the station.

PC Matt Smith said: “A man climbed over the railings into the booking hall, which was closed and locked.

“Realising he couldn’t get out, the man hit the glass pane at the top of the sliding door causing it to crack.

“Still unable to leave the booking hall he climbed back over the railings, into the subway, and out of the side exit.”

Investigations to date have enabled officers to isolate a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

PC Smith added: “I have no doubt the man captured on CCTV has information about the incident and I call on anyone who knows him to get in touch.”

Anyone with information can call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. Callers should quote log SSUB/B5 of 9/5/14.
