Police launch new South Downs visiting scheme

Local police officers from the Horsham Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the launch of The Link Visiting Scheme in Upper Beeding, Steyning and Bramber on Thursday (September 11).

The newly appointed Deputy Chief Constable Olivia Pinkney attended alongside Horsham’s NPT Inspector Clare McKnight, PCSO Tom Slaughter and PCSO Carol Boniface. Sussex Police provided £3,000 funding for the Cinnamon Project which runs the scheme to help volunteers reach out to elderly and vulnerable persons within the villages to provide someone for them to visit. The scheme is being managed by The Hub in Upper Beeding and being supported by Steyning District Churches Together
