West Sussex Mediation Service needs to fill the gap before the end of its current financial year – just 36 hours away. The charity specialises in helping to resolve neighbour disputes and conflicts within families, but offers a full range of mediation services, plus conflict coaching.

Nick Handley, service coordinator for the charity, said: “£5,000 is a significant amount of money to a small charity like ours.

Fundraising for a small specialist charity like the mediation service is difficult at the best of times, but even more so due to the pandemic, the charity said.

Nick added: “The pandemic has had a significant affect on charities in terms of income. We have seen demand for our skills increase as lockdowns has increased pressures on families and neighbourly relations.”
