A spokesman for Horsham District Council said the skate park had been closed for safety reasons with repairs on the way.

He added: “Unfortunately due to bad weather and national lockdown restrictions our plans to repair selected ramps in the northern section of Horsham Park Skate Park have not been able to go ahead.

“The condition of these ramps has now become a health and safety concern and as such we have had to temporarily fence off the entire park.

“The good news is that the repairs to the northern section of ramps will go ahead as soon as the weather improves hopefully between March and May.”

This section will re-open as soon as the repairs are complete and lockdown rules ease, the council said.

The spokesman added: “Please remember however that all skate parks are currently closed in line with national Government COVID-19 guidance and should not be used.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
