The Horsham Christian Centre must raise about £43,000 to pay for refurbishments that are ‘necessary’ to secure its future in the town centre.
The Centre - the bookshop and cafe located at the top of the Causeway - has been operating at a loss, prompting plans to ‘transform’ the site.
Seven Christians make up The Centre Transformation Team, the group charged with the developments.
Programme manager Paul Couchman said the refurbishments are ‘necessary to give the Centre the appeal they want it to have’, and wife Rosemary, also a programme manager, added ‘people have said they would be devastated if it closed’.
