Fire crews called after car collides with central reservation on M23

Emergency services were called after a car collided with a central reservation on the M23.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene between the Maidenbower and Pease Pottage junctions at 12.48am today (Wednesday April 1).

A spokesman said no one was trapped in the car, which was leaking diesel after its fuel tank was ruptured by the collision.

The three crews, two from Crawley, one from Reigate, made the car safe and left the incident with Sussex Police at 1.22am.
