Horsham law firm DMH Stallard put food for the Trussell Trust before Christmas cards this festive season to help people on low incomes.

All the staff at the town centre office agreed that donating food and toiletries, rather than buying cards, would help to make this time of year a little easier for individuals and families in the local area.

In a recent edition of the West Sussex County Times, the Salvation Army reported 140 families in Horsham are facing financial hardship.

Deborah Henn, Group Head of Private Client at DMH Stallard, said: “I saw the idea in a magazine and it was quickly agreed to arrange collections in the office, with everyone giving so generously.

“It is highly likely that people with money difficulties will be using every penny they have to make Christmas special for their children, possibly at the expense of food and other items most people take for granted.”
