Bellway South London, which is currently building new homes at two sites in the village with a third site acquired, has provided the funding for Billingshurst Sports and Recreation Association.

The association, which is an umbrella for several sporting groups in the village, is spending the money on new furniture and lighting at its Jubilee Fields clubhouse off Petworth Road.

“The clubhouse is an attractive venue for community functions, which provides a key source of revenue for the sports club.

“With the population of Billingshurst increasing rapidly, we have struggled to keep up with our growing membership.

“It is reassuring to see the support we have from key stakeholders and businesses within the local community.”
