Bev Liley and her team at Barns Green Playgroup are over the moon at being awarded the highest accolade from Ofsted - ‘Outstanding’ - in all four key areas.
Bev said: ‘‘Our priority is always to provide a welcoming, safe playgroup for children to enjoy learning and develop as individuals.
‘‘It is fantastic that Ofsted has recognised that we are providing the best start for our children as they begin their learning journey, whist supporting their families.
‘‘We will continue to make improvements to maintain this high standard.”
The inspector said that Bev goes the extra mile, paying attention to small details and provides a high quality of teaching for staff.
This is reflected in the quality of learning provided by all of her staffing team.
Victoria Baxter, the playgroup chairperson, said: “This is a fantastic result that reflects the care, concern and continued hard work of the whole staff team led by Bev Liley the playgroup manager.
‘‘Bev and team always place the children’s needs, happiness and safety at the heart of everything they do, so this result is very well deserved.
‘‘Over the years playgroup has had incredibly strong support from the local community and businesses, and is managed by a voluntary committee – making this achievement feel even more rewarding.
‘‘Well done to everyone involved and thanks to the local community for your ongoing support and to all the parents that gave positive feedback.”
A parent said the playgroup is: “A warm loving environment where the staff ensure your child is challenged, stimulated and above all happy.”
