Two pupils from Ashington CE Primary School have won a local competition to design a poster encouraging residents to clear up after their dogs.
Harry and Max won first and second prize respectively, earning themselves Amazon vouchers.
The competition for local schoolchildren was organised by Horsham District Council’s Neighbourhood Warden in Ashington, Bryony Sparks, to combat the issue of dog fouling in the village.
The competition had the full backing of the school staff and parish council and the winning entries were chosen by parish council chairman councillor Nigel Spiers and councillor Sam Ball.
The posters will now be enlarged and placed around the village to encourage the offending dog owners to be more responsible.
