A24 major roadworks lead to traffic queues
Major roadworks on the A24 near Horsham are causing problems for drivers.
Cars are queing northbound from the Broadbridge Heath roundabout to the Robin Hood roundabout junction where there are lane closures.
West Sussex County Council says that the lane closures are necessary so that street lighting and traffic lights can be installed.
The roadworks, which began this week, involve widening carriageways on the A24 from two lanes to three on both carriageways.
The works are part of a major scheme which is not expected to be completed until mid autumn.
