STAFF put their best foot forward to celebrate the first birthday of a Shoreham clinic – and raise money for charity at the same time.
First Foot Clinic, in High Street, celebrated their first birthday on Saturday with a day of activities, including a 12-hour charity Bikeathon on an exercise bike outside the front of the clinic.
Practice manager Martin Burrett and podiatrist Karen Burrett used pedal power to help bring the total raised to £495.85 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Karen said it was a great success and even the weather was good.
“Myself and Martin managed to ride the exercise bike for 12 hours, 7am to 7pm, with some help from family and the public.
“We had a cake sale and raffle, which were both very well supported by the public.”
The raffle prizes included a food hamper and a batch of foot-related items.
Other activities on the day included the chance to guess the number of feet in a jar.
First Foot Clinic provides podiatry and chiropody services for adults, young people and children.
Staff treat a wide range of conditions affecting the foot and lower limb.
