A Cubs Past and Present afternoon will be held on Saturday, February 6, at The Gladys Bevan Hall, in Church Lane, Upper Beeding, from 2pm to 5pm.

Helen Cosham, Cub leader, said: “We are hoping people who have been a Cub with the group will pop in to sign our giant yellow and green group scarf. We are aiming to get 100 signatures.

“The current Cubs are busy making decorations for the hall. They are also hoping to collect 100 group name tapes from packs around the world, having so far made contact with groups in Cardiff, Michigan and Dubai.

“We will have memorabilia to look at and there will be tea and cakes, and badge swapping.”

Members of the pack were part of the recent Cub 100 celebration, organised by West Sussex Scouts to coincide with the national centenary launch.

The pack will also be among 3,000 Cubs from West and East Sussex attending a three-night camp, Sussex 100, at Ardingly in the summer.
