Parking restrictions have been extended by Crawley Borough Council.
Parking enforcement officers will now enforce parking restrictions on double yellow lines and in the council’s car parks from 7am to 10.30pm seven days a week.
Previously, enforcement hours were from 7am to 5.30pm on Monday to Saturday.
From now until July 31, anyone found in contravention of the parking restrictions in the extended hours will be given a warning notice.
From August 1, motorists found ignoring the restrictions will be given the usual Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) of up to £70.
The aim of the two month window after the restrictions are extended and before the PCNs are put in place is to enable motorists to learn the new times before being charged.
