Water Aid funds raised by pupils for school topic

The children in Year 4 at Storrington First School were asked if they could think of ways to help raise money for Water Aid, as part of this terms school topic.

William Sale, age 9, came up with the idea of doing a 10km bike ride with his friends along Worthing sea front.

With 12 other children, Thomas W, Tom F, Jamie, Tom M, Toby, Harry, Charlotte, Daniel W, Charlie, Jake, Amelie and Amelia they all met at 9:30am on Saturday March 29 at the bottom of George V Avenue, Worthing. Three parents joined them on the ride along the sea front to Brooklands Pleasure Park.

After a quick ice cream break, they cycled their way back to to the start, completing the ride in less than 2 hours. All of the children completed the challenge and have raised £470 for Water Aid.
