Thist was a Lenten sequence of music entitled ‘Loving Wisdom’, performed by massed choirs, accompanied by the cathedral organist Timothy Ravalde and conducted by Sarah Baldock, Master of the Cathedral Choir The programme included 11 pieces of music, 4 hymns and 7 anthems, the most challenging was written by Joseph Hadyn, titled ‘Insanae et vanae curae’, (words are in Latin).

We were joined at the service by some partners and then afterwards for a very congenial Chinese meal in our favourite restaurant ‘Confuscious’ (see the attached picture kindly taken by Ian McBean). The choir is so lucky to be supported by Mags Fisher who kindly put us through our paces in practise, many thanks to everyone for their time and enthusiasm. If anyone, would like to join our church choir we are sociable and would be very pleased to see you – please contact Mags Fisher on 790717.
