Newly extended, bigger than ever and totally reshaped, it will offer all the old summer fair favourites but adds late afternoon live music for all the family.

The WGPS Summer Festival will be opened at 12 noon by a procession of all the children from the school, led by the newly crowned May Queen in a fittingly splendid open topped vintage car. There will be Maypole and country dancing, a tug of war, giant inflatables, dozens of stalls, exciting displays and oodles of yummy refreshments. Whatever the weather, there will be something for everyone. In a new departure, this year the event will be topped off by live music from two local bands who will play as the picnic blankets come out, and on into the early evening. Taking first to the stage will be Blues Issue. Hailing from Brighton and described as “ten handed, twelve barrelled, rockin’ blues”, they will start playing about 3pm.The finale to the whole event will be just what the doctor ordered. Wisborough Green’s very own Rock Docteurs prescribe a bit of music therapy to end the afternoon. Join them for some upbeat rock and pop, feel-good covers with a rock edge, from classics through to present day. A few unusual hits get the Docs treatment too. Please be ready to rock!
