Appropriately enough, the costumed entertainment by Tony and Lizzie Gilks will take place in the elegant Victorian Music Room at the charming historic St Mary’s House, Bramber, on Saturday, September 21 at 3pm.

Be enthralled by stories and anecdotes about the early life of Queen Victoria. Be prepared for reality to step in with the portrayal of period costumed characters. See artifacts which illustrate the deprivations and conditions of the poorer classes as well as the opulence and glamour of the aristocrats.

A delicious Victorian tea will be served, hopefully if the weather is nice, in the garden.

Tickets are only £12, including the Victorian tea – these are available from Gillian Downham on 01903-816391.

This is a fund-raising event organised by the Friends of St Mary’s, and all the proceeds will go to support the work of maintaining this magnificent 15thC house with its beautiful gardens.
