LETTER: Who knows what lies ahead for Jess?
Regarding the letter from Peter Head commenting on my letter about the Jazz Guitarist Jess Lewis.
I said I thought Jess was the best jazz guitarist I have ever heard. Peter rightly compared her to Django Reinhardt and Wes Montgomery as not being up to their very high standards as yet.
Unfortunately, I might be pretty old but I never had the chance to hear Django or Wes live, but who knows how Jess will be regarded with a few years more experience. I can see myself in twenty years time (if I’m lucky enough to still be here) boasting how I was lucky enough to hear Jess Lewis playing live in Horsham Carfax.
