LETTER: Underpass needs restoration work

As always it is interesting to read residents’ opposing views on Horsham’s street improvements.

However, may I draw everyone’s attention to the appalling state of the underpass next to the Park Surgery?

This underpass has always afforded much pleasure for children finding their favourite mosaic and enjoying the lovely echo the tunnel can be made to produce.

But look at the walls and ceiling, they are filthy and the subway is quite a depressing place to be.

In 2000 Horsham schools produced this delightful mosaic mural. All it needs to restore it to its former glory is a jolly good clean. Would this perhaps make a good community project?
