LETTER: Struggle to keep up water supply
After only a couple of weeks of hot summer weather, the South of England resembles a desert.
Imagine the results from lack of rain combined with the enormous thirst of fracking operations. No rain – no life.
The contentious fracking operation would drain our already sparse resources even further. With the promise of hotter, drier, longer summers, the water companies, already struggling to produce enough of this precious liquid, would not be able to keep up demand and no doubt be forced to ration this commodity which is so vital to life.
