LETTER: Praise for town’s newest agents

With a recent move fresh in my mind, I thought it would be a good time to share my opinions about one of the newest estate agents in town; Mayhews.

It was nearly impossible to choose an agent in Horsham, simply because we have so much choice. But after I received a flyer from Mayhews, it seemed like a good idea to give them a call.

After quite a bit of deliberation, I ended up giving the ‘new guys’ a try, and I have to say, I was impressed.

The most important thing to me is feeling that I can contact my agent. I need to know that they care about the sale of my house. It’s all very well putting on a good show before anything is signed, but what happens after that..?

Well, I can honestly say that Mayhews continued with the very personal, detailed service all the way through.

There were some hiccups along the way, but I always felt that I could speak to someone about my concerns. The staff are very friendly, contactable and diligent, working late and making themselves available, either via phone or email. When you are uprooting your life and want to know what’s going on, this is vital.

Moving can be a stressful experience, but if you can find an agent who can talk you through your options rationally, and find solutions to problems if they arise, then it’s only fair to share that information.

So, to Oliver, Derek and Shayne in the Horsham office (in the shadow of St. Mark’s spire), thank you. I think I’d have gone mad without you!
