Hurstpierpoint teen set for more success as fashion designer

A talented young fashion designer from Hurstpierpoint is set to feature new clothing collections for the first time at two upcoming fashion shows.

Isaac Raymond, also known as Isaac O’Riordan, will use the shows to demonstrate how he has used his extraordinary experiences of bullying and Aspergers Syndrome to translate into his cutting edge fashion designs.

On Friday October 16 at All Saints Church, Hove, the 17-year-old will present his new sustainable clothing designs at the ‘The Zeitgeist Catwalk show’ as part of Brighton Fashion Week and next year his collection ‘Revolution of Bravery’ will be featured at his exclusive catwalk fundraiser in aid of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

The event for the charity, which empowers youth globally, will take place on Saturday June 4, 2016 at St Bartholomew the Great- the oldest surviving church in London - in front of top fashion and music industry professionals.

It will be a televised multimedia show incorporating film, dance, amazing special effects and beautiful models .

The successful teen, who is currently a student at City College in Brighton, has previously featured in the Middy after being talent spotted by people with links to the London fashion world after taking part in successful fashion shows.

Among his achievements include hosting his first Catwalk show featuring his own designs at the age of 12 in aid of BBC’s Children In Need which was televised, raising funds for his school Woodlands Meed at the age of 14 with a catwalk, and taking part in a fashion show put on by Guerrilla Fashion at The Emporium in Brighton which raised funds for The Clockwork Sanctuary charity which helps homeless people in Sussex.

He also made a catwalk debut recently at the Brighton Fringe Festival at Arista Studio on May 23.

As well as having his collections featured in the Daily Star and BT News, his work has recently been picked up by the German edition of OK magazine and SHOUT magazine.
