At Christmas there are many local people and families in need and the Lions like to help them by giving food hampers and also toys to children.

One of the ways of fund raising is by selling Christmas cakes which are specially made by an independent bakery and the profits go into the Lions charity fund.

Cakes make an ideal gift for companies and businesses to give to valued customers as a way of showing appreciation for their business.

Many companies these days do not allow staff to receive gifts at Christmas, however, by giving a cake, which is branded with a discreet Lions logo you are able to give a high quality gift and show that you are helping a local charity.

Aerco, based at Broadbridge Heath, have supported Horsham Lions for a number of years by buying cakes and giving them to their customers.

Rob Laughton, Managing Director, said: “Giving top quality Lions cakes to our customers lines up with our company ethics and we are seen to be supporting charity. Our customers are always very pleased to receive the cakes as it is somewhat different from a diary.

Any companies wishing to order cakes as a gift for customers or staff should contact Lion Tom Osborne on 01403241167or e-mail [email protected]. Orders placed now will be delivered by the end of October to give plenty of time to distribute to customers .
