After attracting record numbers of over 2,000 last year, Hopfest has become a traditional meet-up event for beer fans across the region, who to flock to the brewery to enjoy the music, food and of course a beer or two.

As usual visitors can expect free beer tasting sessions across a wide range of Dark Star beers along with a hop exhibition, street art displays and live music from a number of great local bands. As per tradition, Morris Dancers will entertain including the mysteriously gothic Mythago Morris Men - a display not to be missed!

Commenting, James Cuthbertson, director at Dark Star said: “We’re all really looking forward to hosting Hopfest again this year. We were blown away by the number of visitors last year and if early interest is anything to go by, we can look forward to a great turn-out. There’ll be lots to see, do, and of course taste – it’s set to be a fantastic weekend.”

Celebrations will kick-off on the Friday at The Partridge pub, known as ‘the brewery tap’ just a few minutes’ walk from the brewery - when the season’s first barrels of Dark Star Green Hop IPA will be tapped, a beer brewed using fresh hops from this year’s harvest.

A mass of events will follow over the weekend at the brewery, with live music from a number of local bands, beer tastings, Morris Dancing, artwork created throughout the day, local food and craft stalls and much more.

Dates:

Friday 26th Sept from 19:30 at The Partridge pub

Saturday 27th Sept from 11:00 – 17:45 at the Brewery

Sunday 28th Sept from 11:00 – 16:45 at the Brewery
