The photographs in the exhibition demonstrate the high quality work being produced at the college.

Photography Subject Leader, Laura Andrews said: “Our students are exposed to a range of photographic techniques and concepts, which is reflected in the work shown at the exhibition. The photographs on display are a feast for the eye ranging from colourful abstracts, digitally manipulated images, through to landscapes and places of interest.”

The colourful and eye-catching photographs were submitted as part of the students’ coursework projects last academic year. Many of the students are starting their final year at the college, while others have left to further their passion for the subject at University.

Claire Marchant who gained full marks at AS Level Photography this summer said: “It is wonderful to see our work displayed together, and to see such a wide variety of ideas.”

Elliott Godden, who also achieved an A grade at AS said: “It is a privilege to be part of this exhibition, and to be able to share our work with the local community.”

The exhibition is free and is now open Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm until 25th October 2014. The wide variety of work means there really is something on display for everyone!

Collyer’s Principal, Sally Bromley said: “The exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase talented young photographers at the start of their careers. We are hugely grateful to all at the Horsham Museum & Art Gallery and to the photography teachers and students for making this possible. The quality of the photography is absolutely outstanding!
